Pick a Pear

Yesterday we picked our pears. Such fun. *smile* I really do love going out with my little apron and filling my spiffy red crate up. Love it. . .i think you would too.*wink* We seriously have quite the bunch of pears. They are everywhere now. I know what i’ll be eating this month. Have any good pear recipes?

*Peanut*Butter*Cookies*

Here is that little recipe for the peanut butter cookies. Hope you love making them as much as i did(and do). Yummo…

•4 Tbsp. butter •½ cup brown sugar •½ cup white sugar •1 egg •1 cup flour •1 tsp. baking soda •½ cup peanut butter

1. Cream together butter and sugars. Add egg and mix lightly.

2. Combine flour and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Add peanut butter and mix well. Roll into small balls.

3. Arrange on greased cookie sheet and press down with fork dipped in cold water.

4. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until brown.

Here is the recipe.

~Banana Bread~

Heat oven to 350°

1 cup sugar

½ cup butter

2 eggs

½ tsp. salt

1 ½ mashed banana

1 tbsp. lemon juice

2 cups flour

2 tsp. baking powder

Add all ingredients and beat well.

Grease loaf pan.

Bake for 1 hour.

*Another*Little*Recipe*

I have a little *apron* on at the moment. Just finished making some lovely cookies. I can still smell them. Yummo!(i think i ate to much dough though)(i always do.)(o: Hehe…

~Chocolate.Chip.Cookies~

•2 1/4 cups flour •3/4 cups packed brown sugar

•1 tsp. baking soda •1 tsp. vanilla extract

•1 tsp. salt •2 large eggs

•1 cup butter softened •2 cups chocolate chips

•3/4 cups sugar •1 cup chopped nuts(if desired)

Preheat oven to 375°F

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.

A happy little pancake maker...

Lately i’ve really been enjoying cooking and baking. Which is kind of weird for me cause i don’t do it a whole lot. I can’t say i’m wonderful at it, but hey, it’s fun. A couple days ago i decided to make some pancakes. I thought i would share the recipe with you.

~Sweet Milk Pancakes~

2 cups flour

4 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

4 Tbsp. sugar

2 eggs

2 cups milk

4 Tbsp. cooking oil

*Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in large bowl. In another bowl beat eggs well. Add milk and oil and beat well. Make a well in dry ingredients and gradually stir in liquid ingredients, mixing until smooth. Heat skillet on high with 1-2 Tbsp. cooking oil. Spoon batter into skillet to form 4-inch pancakes. Brown on both sides.*

I really do love pancakes. A lot. Especially with peanut butter and nutella on them.

Now i think i’ll go put an apron on and make some cookies. Snicker doodles maybe…
